What is the CAL?
At the Language Service students can use the Language Self-Learning Centre (CAL), a physical and virtual space that is equipped with materials and resources for the study of Catalan, Spanish and English with a flexible schedule.
End users:
This system is appropriate for those who are currently taking or have previously taken a language course at the Language Service and would like to do self-learning as a complement; for those wishing to update their knowledge of one of the languages we offer before enrolling in an attendance-based or blended course starting on a later date; for those who have previously taken an examination in one of these languages and failed it, or for those who require an adapted schedule or have special learning needs.

During the Easter break (2nd to 5th April): 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Between the 15th September and the 30th June: Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m..
Between the 1st and the 15th September and throughout July: from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. In August the CAL will be closed.
During the opening times of the centre, learners can use all the materials and resources available in this space, receive individualised assessment and participate in activities that promote group learning (conversation, writing groups, etc.)
