Language Volunteers

The group of Language Volunteers is made up of students and staff from the UdL who are willing to help students to integrate into the university and Lleida, in areas such as student life, leisure and cultural activities, language, etc. Those students registered in mobility programmes will be assigned a language volunteer on their arrival. Students who are not part of a mobility programme but who are interested in contacting a language volunteer can do so at the Language Service.

Spanish Courses for Foreigners

Second semester
The following Spanish courses will be offered in the second semester: levels A1 and A2, which last 50 hours; levels B1 and B2, which last 70 hours, and a 20-hour conversation course. The definitive information about the number of groups, dates and schedules will be published at the end of January 2013. All the courses will take place in the Rectorat campus.

Important: The mobility students of the UdL and Master's students who have registered for a Spanish course during the first semester and want to enrol for the next course in the second semester must pay the total price of the course (since there is no funding from the International Relations Office).

Requirements
In order to access general language courses, except for the A1 course, it is required to prove that the previous level has been achieved, by having passed a course at the Language Service, handing in a valid certificate, or taking a placement test. In order to enrol for the conversation course, an A2 level is required (or taking the A2 course simultaneously).

Placement test: 4th of February, between 9 am and 6 pm (maximum duration of 1.5 hours) in classroom 1.12 (Polivalent building, campus of Cappont)
Publication of results: 6th of February on this webpage

From the 6th of February at the Language Service Secretary’s Office (Monday to Friday, 10 am - 2 pm; and Tuesdays 3:30-5:30 pm)
